Traveling Visa Information

Short-time tourist visa is enough for participating in the conference.

Starting from October 1, 2019, citizens of 53 countries can apply for a single-entry business, humanitarian and tourist visas in the form of an electronic document (so-called electronic visas) for visits to St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region. Applications can be made on the special website of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Citizens of the following countries can get an electronic visa to visit St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region:

The basis for issuing an electronic visa is a statement of a foreign citizen, completed in electronic form on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia no later than 4 calendar days before the expected date of entry, with a digital photograph attached to it in the form electronic file. No other documents are required.

Electronic visas are issued for a period of validity of 30 days from the date of issue and with the permitted stay in Russian Federation up to 8 days from the date of entry.

Border checkpoints for entry into the territory of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region and exit from them by electronic visas:

Electronic visas for visiting St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region are valid for entry into the Russian Federation and exit from the Russian Federation by air, road and water transport, as well as without using vehicles (on foot) only through the following checkpoints across the state border of the Russian Federation, located in the territories of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region:
1. Pulkovo air border checkpoint;
2. Maritime checkpoints "Vysotsk", "The Big Port of St. Petersburg (Marine Station)", "Passenger Port of St. Petersburg";
3. Automobile checkpoints "Ivangorod", "Torfyanovka", "Brusnitchnoe", "Svetogorsk";
4. Pedestrian checkpoint "Ivangorod".
Entry into the territory of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region and exit from them by electronic visas by rail is not yet possible.
